Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland

Wai-O-Tapu is one of the wonders of the thermal landscape of our region and one you shouldn't miss while staying here. From Lady Knox Geyser to the Champagne Lake, the colours of Mother Nature's palette are unrivalled anywhere.

Give yourself at least half a day at the site, for there are a number of walks available depending on your level of fitness, ranging from 40 minutes to more than four hours.

The boardwalks and paths make navigating the site easy even for the physically challenged.

A great cafe and souvenir shop are also on site.

TripAdvisor calls Wai-O-Tapu "one of the 20 most surreal places in the world".
